In the summer of 2006, Hawk Ridge was pleased to announce the opening of their new Executive Nine Hole Course, Hawk's Island. This new development is nestled south east of the existing 36 holes, encompassing 90 acres in total. Hawk's Island is a Ted Baker design, who is well known for his work at Lionhead Golf & Country Club and most recently the new course at BraeBen. The course plays from 800 to 1500 yards featuring two sets of sprawling Tee Decks complimented by large undulating greens.
Hole #5 is the signature hole, playing a downward approach from three sets of Tee Decks in an amphitheatre design, to an island green with bunkers situated on both sides. The Executive Nine Hole Course features continuous paved cart paths, bentgrass Tees & Greens with Dwarf Bluegrass fairways.
Future development proposed will include an extensive Adult Style Community abutting the golf course and surrounding area.
There is no doubt this picturesque Nine Hole Executive Course layout will provide an experience that is challenging and enjoyable for golfers of all ages.
